Valerie’s Extended Wear operates both a storefront and online store, the storefront opened on December of 2005, while the online store started accepting orders in May of 2007.  Valerie’s Extended Wear would not have been made possible without the help of the Northern Ontario Young Entrepreneurship program offered to young business owners by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.

Valerie’s Extended Wear store is located in the Superior Place Mall in Marathon, Ontario. The whole idea behind Valerie’s Extended Wear was to provide unique quality plus size clothing to the rural areas of Canada similar to Marathon.  Marathon is located 3-4 hours away from any major center and sometimes it’s not easy to get into the city.  Valerie has grown up in small towns and knows what it’s like to be restricted to what a small town has to offer.  She is hoping that the launching of her online store will reach all small communities across Canada and will service those who visit the website.
